We are delighted and honoured that Doshu, Ueshiba Moriteru, has accepted an invitation from the British Aikido Federation, the Scottish Aikido Federation, the United Kingdom Aikikai, British Birankai and the Komyokan Aikido Association to visit and teach in the UK. The seminar will be held from Friday 18th June 2010 to Sunday 20th June 2010 at the Welsh Institute for Sport, Cardiff, South Wales.

This is Doshus' first visit to the UK for many years and the first time he has visited us since he became Doshu in 1999. We are pleased to announce that Doshu will be accompanied by his son, Waka sensei, Ueshiba Mitsuteru, and a third Hombu dojo shihan. 

The above organisations have now formally come together as the Joint Aikikai Council (UK) following work that has been jointly conducted.  The aim of the JAC (UK) is to promote and deliver Hombu Dojo Aikido in the UK.  A website publishing the full aims and objectives will be available shortly.
